ABSTRACT

If the market is efficient, with stock prices accurately reflecting the true risk of an investment, then the issue becomes simpler. While this is true, investors may have a window of opportunity to discover a successful investing strategy if the market is inefficient. The primary goal of this research is to use the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to predict daily cycles of price increases for the ten largest-cap companies trading on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) over the Covid-19 timeframe (January 1st, 2019, to December 1st, 2022). Study how the model performs when trained and tested with a moving window. The outcome was an impressive average accuracy of 81.68 percent for the predicting model. © 2023 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

In the Covid-19 pandemic, many students must study at home utilizing an E-learning system because of social alienation. The goal of this study is to analyze students' continued motivation to use the E-learning system during the Covid-19 pandemic using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Task-Technology Fit (TTF). Both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were employed in this work. The qualitative approach's goal is to confirm and adopt the scale. In contrast, a quantitative study seeks to determine if students in the Covid-19 pandemic have a strong desire to use the E-learning system students will continue to utilize E-learning in the future, according to the research. They will continue to adopt E-learning due to its social influence, usefulness, and ease of use. Based on the findings, the research suggested numerous suggestions to enhance and promote E-learning for Vietnamese universities to further the development of Vietnamese education. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to forecast the exchange rate between the Vietnamese dong and the US dollar for the following month in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It used the Support Vector Regression (SVR) algorithm under the Uncovered Interest Rate Parity (UIRP) theoretical framework;the results are compared with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression model and the Random Walk (RW) model under the rolling window method. The data included the VND/USD exchange rate, the bank interest rate for the 1-month term, and the 1-month T-bill from January 01, 2020, to September 11, 2021. The research discovered a linear link between the two nations' exchange rates and interest rate differentials. Interest rate differentials are input variables to forecast interest rate differentials. Furthermore, the connection between the exchange rate and interest rate differentials during this era does not support the UIRP hypothesis;hence, the error for OLS predictions remains large. The study provided a model to forecast future exchange rates by combining the UIRP theoretical framework and the SVR algorithm. The UIRP theoretical framework can anticipate exchange rate differentials using the input variable and the interest rates between two nations. Meanwhile, the SVR algorithm is a robust machine learning technique that enhances prediction accuracy. © 2022 by the authors. Licensee ESJ, Italy.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic was first discovered in 2019 and was resistant to all available cures despite all efforts. Vietnam, as well as other nations, suffers significant economic harm due to its presence. Businesses in Vietnam, particularly small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), must plan for this scenario. It has been shown that E-marketing is a successful technique for finding and communicating with consumers worldwide. The disease has been aided by lockdowns and social isolation in the Covid-19 pandemic. This study seeks to discover the impact of several variables on small business owners' plans to utilize e-marketing in Vietnam as part of the Covid-19 pandemic. The study used both qualitative and quantitative research techniques. The qualitative approach is used to confirm and modify a scale, whereas quantitative research is used to help establish a range. The results show that 04 variables impact e-marketing intention, including (1) Compatibility, (2) attitudes towards the use of E-marketing, (3) perceived usefulness, and (4) perceived barriers to use, (5) subjective norms, where perceived usefulness is the most critical influence. The research has put forward many proposals to enhance the desire of businesses to utilize E-Marketing. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the speed of digital transformation. These new developments will either remain the same or evolve as individuals realize that digital may help them handle various problems today and in the future. Businesses realize that utilizing an online project management service (OPMS) may help them save money and make project management more accessible;as a result, demand for this service is increasing. To better assess OPMS adoption intentions, this research combined the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with Task-Technology Fit theory (TTF). An online poll was performed to gather quantitative data from 247 businesses that utilize OPMS for their business processes. This study affirmed the TAM in OPMS, as all connections between perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude toward OPMS, and OPMS adoption intention are supported. Furthermore, the task-technology fit of OPMS has a significant effect on perceived usefulness and ease of use. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The growth of the organic product market is consistent with a worldwide trend of rising demand, owing primarily to improved living quality. However, in the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the social distancing strategy has influenced consumers' desire to purchase organic food through electronic commerce platforms. This study aimed to assess the impact of health concern, environmental concern, perceived price, perceived quality, and knowledge related to organic food on organic food online shopping intention;and evaluated the moderating role of perceived social distancing policy on the aforementioned relationships. In the quantitative research method, this study surveyed 637 Vietnamese consumers. Based on a mix of Theory of Planned Behavior and Social Norms Theory, research results showed that all independent variables had positive effects on the dependent variable;furthermore, perceived social distancing policy moderates the relationship between perceived price (+), health concern (-), perceived quality (-), and knowledge related to organic food (-) and organic foods online shopping intention. This study had ramifications for organic food companies to create strategies in the Covid-19 pandemic with a social distance policy from the State. © 2021 IEEE.
